Microbiological profile of leg ulcer infections: review study

ABSTRACT Objectives: to analyze the microbiological profile of leg ulcers patients treated at outpatient clinics and hospitals regarding type microorganism, selection antibiotics, techniques for collection culture material. Methods: literature review performed on LILACS, IBECS, MEDLINE, CINAHL databases, resulting in a descriptive analysis 27 studies. Results: 35.7% studies occurred an care scenario; 64.2% hospitals. There was predominance swab (100%) biopsy (55.5%) hospital. Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus were more common both levels assistance. Methicillin-resistant isolated both. Conclusions: infections similar, with presence resistant bacteria environments. This fact causes concern raises need research elucidate it.
